Acupressure for Nausea
The point on the forearm between the two tendons just two finger widths proximal to the wrist crease called Pericardium 6, has proven anti-nausea effects. The FDA approved a wristband using stimulation on this point for the relief of nausea caused by motion sickness, morning sickness, chemotherapy and post-operative nausea. In addition, this point is useful for insomnia, anxiety, hiccups, vomiting, and tension in the chest.
Hold the point gently with the thumb of your other hand for 30 seconds. For some people the effects may be instant and others may need to continue holding the point for several minutes. Alternate pressing the points on both arms.
